FAQ:

  • Our website supports all major credit cards and Apple Pay. We also accept Klarna and Afterpay, if you prefer to pay in instalments.

We also welcome purchases using PayPal or Interac e-transfer. Please contact us to use these payment methods.

  • At Verità, we do not profit off of the work of Indigenous artists and makers. This is one of our small steps towards Truth and Reconciliation.

When you purchase an Indigenous-made artwork through our website, we donate 100% of what you pay to the Native Women's Resource Centre of Toronto, or another Indigenous not-for-profit of your choosing, and are happy to provide proof of donation.

Verità does not sell Indigenous art created during or prior to the Potlatch Ban, or artworks for which an ethical provenance cannot be ascertained.

  • We operate out of Toronto, on the traditional lands of the Huron-Wendat, the Seneca, and the Mississaugas of the Credit.

Our Little Garage Gallery is located in Seaton Village, near Christie Pits park. We are primarily an online retailer (which allows us to pass savings to our clients) and offer in-person services by appointment only.

  • We offer authentication services as part of our bespoke services.

For artworks in our retail store: we provide buyers with whatever authenticity or certification is available for each individual artwork. It is important to us that you have all the information.

Occasionally, we know the exact provenance of an artwork, but working with vintage material culture means that most of the time we don't have a complete history.

Provenance and authentication are important parts of our research process, and are reflected in our pricing:

    • For example, a great lithograph by a “big name artist” will be priced significantly lower if we can’t 100% verify authenticity with the artist’s estate or with other provenance markers.

  • All sales are final; we do not accept returns. We are a small operation, and shipping costs make returns unfeasible.

We encourage you to look carefully at the images, request condition reports, and/or reach out to us with any questions before purchasing.

  • It depends!

Some of our artworks are in their vintage frames (occasionally requiring a degree of TLC), while others are unframed. Framing will be indicated in the product description.

We have superb local framing shops that we work with here in Toronto. If you would like any artwork professionally framed (or re-framed) we are thrilled to coordinate this for you prior to shipping.

  • Verità ships art globally. Our website facilitates sales within Canada and the United States. For purchases outside of North America, please contact us to arrange payment and shipping.

Shipping to Canada is calculated based on the size of the artwork (small, medium, and large) and is visible at checkout after you enter your postal code.

We offer free local delivery to the Annex and Seaton Village, and flat-rate options for Toronto, the GTA, and the rest of Canada.

For local pick-ups, alternate or express shipping options, please contact us.

For customers outside of Canada and the United States: contact to arrange shipping quotes. We use FedEx for USA and DHL for outside of North America unless otherwise requested.

  • We offer a mix of historical and brand-new artworks.

Please note that many of our artworks are vintage, and are therefore pre-loved. They are historical objects that carry the marks of their past lives with them. In the spirit of transparency, we have tried our best to effectively photograph any marks or deficiencies.

You are encouraged to contact us for a condition report on any vintage artwork.
