Johanna Eleonore (Hanni) Rothschild is a celebrated Canadian mixed media artist. In addition to winning first prize at the Canadian National Exhibition art show, she went on to represent Canada at Expo '67 and the Canadian Sport Art Exhibition at the 1976 Calgary Olympics. Rothschild died in 2020, and today her work can be seen in art galleries across North America.
We were so excited to acquire this charming, sparkling mixed media painting of a mermaid from the artist’s estate.
What we love about it: Rothschild included metallic fibres on this image, which subtly sparkly under the light, making this mermaid appear even more magical!
