W.L. Seaton, Untitled, c. 1980s

$50.00

A bucolic oil on canvas scene depicting the rhythms of nature. The centre of the composition shows a fallen tree partially submerged in a river. This painting is by Winston L. Seaton, an Ontario-born artist who has worked in Nova Scotia and now resides in British Columbia. Seaton’s mother was a classmate of artist Tom Thompson, of the famed Group of Seven. In his over fifty-year career, Seaton has experimented with portraiture and abstraction, but is best known for his evocative landscapes.

What we love about it: the quality of light and the delicate colour palette.

Dimensions: 30 x 25.5 cm

This item is offered unframed and in excellent condition. Note that detailed condition reports are available for all artworks on request.
